In honor of the 91st Academy Awards this Sunday, we posted a blog yesterday about the best dressed women in the past decade. Today, we are focusing on the best dressed men. While most of the best-dressed coverage on the red carpet focuses on the women, the subtle differences in the tailoring, lapel, cut, fit, material, tie and accessories are what distinguishes a great suit from a classic look that will stand the test of time.
Scroll to see our top picks, and let us know your favorite looks in the comments below!

In 2009, Dev Patel attended the Oscars with his co-star Freida Pinto to support their film’s Best Picture nomination for “Slumdog Millionaire.” Patel wore a classic slim-cut tuxedo from Burberry.

In 2010, Jake Gyllenhaal presented an award at the Oscars and supported his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, for her nomination as Best Supporting Actress in “Crazy Heart.” Gyllenhaal looked comfortable and sleek in a classic tux from Burberry.

In 2011, Justin Timberlake attended the Oscars. Timberlake wore an immaculately tailored tuxedo from Tom Ford.

In 2012, Christian Bale presented the Best Supporting Actress award after winning the Best Supporting Actor award the previous year for his performance in “The Fighter.” Bale looked dapper in a sleek all-black ensemble from Gucci.

In 2013, Chris Pine attended the Oscars. Pine wore a stylish double breasted suit from Ermenegildo Zegna.

In 2014, Bradley Cooper was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in “American Hustle.” Cooper showed up looking like a movie star in a classic tux from Tom Ford.

In 2015, Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor for his performance as Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything.” Redmayne’s ability to update a classic with a suit from Alexander McQueen lands him a spot as the best dressed attendees.

In 2016, Eddie Redmayne arrived to his second Academy Awards for his leading performance in “The Danish Girl.” As always, Redmayne looked sharp and kept it playful in a velvet ensemble from Alexander McQueen.

In 2017, Dev Patel was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Lion.” Patel looked perennially stylish in a white suit jacket and black trousers from Burberry.

In 2018, Timothée Chalamet was nominated for Best Actor for his role in “Call Me By Your Name.” Chalamet captivated audiences with an all-white suit from Berluti.
